At McAuliffe School of Music, we believe music should be accessible, inspiring, and – most of all – enjoyable. Led by Brian McAuliffe, a lifelong musician and educator from Newport, the school offers a welcoming environment where students of all ages and skill levels can flourish.
Brian's musical roots run deep, growing up in a family immersed in traditional Irish music. With years of teaching experience both in primary education and music instruction, Brian’s approach is warm, patient, and always tailored to the needs of each individual student.
Whether you dream of mastering the fiddle, want to try your hand at the bodhrán, or simply wish to sing with confidence, you’ll find expert support and encouragement here.

Music is our passion. At McAuliffe School of Music, we strive to create a fun and positive learning experience for all - whether you're learning for pleasure or working towards exams.
‘Music should be accessible to all, regardless of learning styles. I aim to provide the supports for each student to reach their goals, whether that be for examinations or purely for fun. Through differentiated lessons, each student will be taught in a manner that is relaxed and enjoyable. I firmly believe that music is intended to be enjoyed by all and I intend to enable each student to learn the music they genuinely like and enjoy’.
