What we collect

When you enquire or join a waiting list: your name, email address and phone number.

When you enrol a student: the student's name and date of birth, the instrument they wish to learn, preferred lesson days and times, any medical conditions we should be aware of, and whether you consent to your child appearing in photos or videos.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

To provide lessons. Scheduling, communicating about lessons, taking payment and keeping our records. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

To keep students safe. We ask about medical conditions so our teachers can respond appropriately. Health information is treated as special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR and we rely on your explicit consent to hold it. It is kept separately from our mailing lists and is never used for marketing.

To send you marketing emails. Information about future terms, offers and gift packages. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.

To use photos and videos. Sharing student achievements on our social media. Legal basis: your consent, given separately on our enrolment form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Children's information

Information about students under 18 is provided to us by a parent or guardian, who also gives any consent required on the child's behalf.

Who else sees your information

We use Google for our enrolment forms. This acts on our instructions as a data processor. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also just email us.
