Meet The Director - Brian McAuliffe
Brian McAuliffe is a multi-instrumentalist from Newport, Co. Tipperary. Since learning his first instrument at the age of 5, Brian has been surrounded by music his entire life, having grown up in a musical family. He has performed at some of the biggest festivals and venues throughout Ireland and worldwide, including America, the UAE, and Europe. A winner of multiple All-Ireland titles in Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann among other competitions, Brian brings a vast knowledge of all things music and performance.
With a rich background in Traditional Irish Music, Classical, folk and pop among other genres, Brian has honed his craft through years of collaborating and performing on stages with popular musicians, such as Darren Kiely, and in various musical settings around the world.
Now, he is dedicated to sharing that knowledge with aspiring musicians of all ages and skill levels. At McAuliffe School of Music, Brian creates a warm and encouraging space where students can thrive.

Brian's musical roots run deep, growing up in a family immersed in traditional Irish music. With years of teaching experience both in primary education and music instruction, Brian’s approach is warm, patient, and always tailored to the needs of each individual student.

‘Music should be accessible to all, regardless of learning styles. I aim to provide the supports for each student to reach their goals, whether that be for examinations or purely for fun. Through differentiated lessons, each student will be taught in a manner that is relaxed and enjoyable. I firmly believe that music is intended to be enjoyed by all and I intend to enable each student to learn the music they genuinely like and enjoy’.
